George Gillson MD, PhD

Founder, Medical Director

Rocky Mountain Analytical is Dr. Gillson's brainchild. Dr. Gillson started Rocky Mountain Analytical with the idea of offering Canadian healthcare professionals a laboratory focused on providing high quality, innovative tests for early identification and prevention of disease.

With his dual backgrounds in Chemistry and Medicine, Dr Gillson is ideally suited to the task. His commitment to develop innovative tests to assist health professionals in their practices is complemented by his genuine desire to help people on the path to wellness. Dr. Gillson began his training with a PhD in Chemistry (Atomic Analytical Spectroscopy) from the University of Alberta and then earned an MD from the University of Calgary.  He practiced Family Medicine for 6 years (Northern Ontario and Oregon ) before moving to the Tahoma Clinic in Kent , Washington . At the Tahoma Clinic, Dr. Gillson worked alongside Jonathan Wright MD, one of the pioneers of the nutritional biochemical approach to chronic illness and disease prevention, and developed a special interest in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr. Gillson was also a consultant for several laboratories in the Pacific  Northwest , in the field of steroid hormone analysis. Dr. Gillson has experienced the challenges of clinical practice firsthand, understands the role of the laboratory in the practice of medicine, and has solid expertise in the nutritional/natural approach to medicine at both the benchtop and theoretical levels. As the Founder and Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Analytical, Dr. Gillson uses his unique background and skills to help practitioners solve their clinical problems.

Tracy Marsden BSc, BSc Pharm

Co-Founder, Consultant

Tracy is a founding partner of Rocky Mountain Analytical and is a driving force behind the company's strategic direction.

Tracy earned both science and pharmacy degrees from the University of Alberta and worked in a community pharmacy setting for over fifteen years. Tracy 's enthusiasm for wellness prompted her to obtain additional training in herbals and homeopathy. Tracy used her knowledge of natural therapies and drive for innovation in founding the natural products department of a large pharmacy chain.

Tracy's business development philosophy focuses on establishing strong working relationships with healthcare professionals and providing tools to support excellence in clinical practice. Tracy is a great educator and has received outstanding reviews on her lectures to pharmacists and pharmacy students. She has consulted to a number of natural products manufacturers and was a regular columnist for Pharmacy Post for many years.  President of the Alberta College of Pharmacists for 2004-2005, Tracy is well respected in the health care field.
